In the heart of the Valais region, to the south of Val d'Anniviers, the Zinal resort, nestles at an altitude of 1,670m, and is situated at the foot of the Imperial Crown of the Alps: the Weisshorn (4th highest summit in Europe: 4'506 m). Both a sporting and family resort, it is open to be discovered throughout the year. The departure point for many ascensional routes, Zinal will draw you naturally to the heights above. In the winter, Zinal is 70 km of Alpine ski slopes, 19.5 km of cross-country ski slopes, a free-ride domain, a snow park, an avalanche training centre, snowshoe routes,a gliding school, a skating ring, a swimming-pool... and just one ski pass that will provide you with access to all the resorts in Val d'Anniviers, Grimentz - St-Luc - Chandolin and Vercorin (220 km of slopes, 44 lifts and a day pass for CHF 47).
In the summer, Zinal has 300 km of walkers paths to offer, mountain bike cycling routes, twin seater para gliders, five mountain cabins (Petit Mountet, Grand Mountet, Arpitettaz, Tracuit and Sorebois), ascensional routes to beautiful peaks, 2 tennis courts, mini golf, swimming pool, children's play areas, picnic areas, and even a Copper Mine...
And if, in the atmosphere of a resort close to eternal snow, you prefer the calm of the lower mountain landscapes and hamlets, stay in the surrounding villages. Nestled between 1,300 and 1,600m, they bear picturesque names : Pralong, Mottec, Ayer, Mission, Cuimey, La Combaz, Les Morands. They can offer you, within just a few kilometres from Zinal, another way of discovering the Val d'Anniviers.
